It is with great pleasure that I welcome T L Zietak as my first maker of bamboo flyrods in the ever popular Quadrate design.
Tim has done much research, and testing to determine the optimum tapers and lengths to offer, and has done a splendid job designing a nice crisp, all around taper. His finish is on par with the best. Very nicely figured grips and hand made ferrules compliment these rods, and display Tims true love of the idiom.
Available in 6'0" to 8'0" configurations, capapble of handling 3-6wt lines.

Here's Tims descriptions:
The rod blanks are produced from select Tonkin
cane. They are heat treated by an open flame to produce the desired
coloration.Waterproof Epoxy is used to glue up the blank. The glue
is actually stronger than the bamboo itself.
The ferrules used on quadrate rod have always been
a stumbling block for builders. The nickel silver tubing must be re-shaped
to fit over the blank without cutting away any of the precious power fibers from
the blank.The ferrules I use on my rods are handmade and perfectly
fit. They are richly blued to compliment the reel seat components.
Different anglers prefer different lines so placing a
line designation on a rod makes little sense.
SIZES
The following configuration of rods are
available. The line weight given is approximate and may be different
depending on whether you like a double taper or weight forward line. Line
size may also be different if you use a silk line.

All rods come with 2 matching tips in cloth bag
and square aluminum tube.
Price for each rod is $1200.With an agate
stripping guide the price is $1225.br>
